- Description: Provides oversite and direction to Facilities and Housekeeping staff: Assures timely completion of work orders, assigning daily tasks and scheduling, making sure departments remain productive. Sets goals with staff and evaluates facilities staffing on an annual basis and works with housekeeping to assure evaluations are complete. Coordinates outsourced contracts for services internal staff cannot perform, negotiating bids and assures compliance is followed in doing such. Coordinates facilities projects with all department leadership involved making sure PCRAs are completed and followed accordingly. Manages grounds upkeep. Completes facility regulatory audits, following department PM calendar and reports such to Quality committees to which regular participation is required. Follows all OCH policies and assures staff does the same. Has ability to multi-task and manage time effectively. Is a team player and encourages staff to be the same. Has strong written and oral communication. Must have ability to problem solve and utilize resources appropriately. Upholds OCH vision of providing Outstanding Care Here by providing excellent service within the departments supervised. Complies with OCH vendor agreements. Adheres to department budgets, with ability to prepare cost estimates and budget reports. Versed in Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook). Utilizes the electronic maintenance management system to retrieve and close out work orders, to assign daily tasks to maintenance staff and to run reports. Must have ability to interpret Joint Commission and NFPA standards/codes and to assure compliance with such. Works closely with Director of Support Services and Quality team to assure regulatory and compliance standards are met. Candidate must be willing to obtain certification as a life safety specialist in the 2012 Life Safety Code (NFPA 101-2012). Other duties may be assigned.
